Furry Pet Toys have been around for a long time and most every child growing up has had one at least once in their life. From the old standby teddy bears to the runaway hit of 2009 Zhu Zhu pets, furry pet toys can cover a lot of different animals. For the 2010 Holiday season, it looks like the FurReal Friends Furry Frenzies Pets are going to challenge last year’s toy for supremacy. Back in 1902 when Morris Michtom was inspired by a photo of Roosevelt and a bear cub, he created a cute and cuddly teddy bear toy that has been a part of many a children’s lives. He actually asked Roosevelt for permission to use his name them thus the bears were called “Teddy’s Bear”.
Those early days of the first furry bear were a much simpler time than today’s furry pets that now have life like fur and animatronics that bring the toy to life. Today’s toys are so much more interactive they can in cases make great replacements for a household who cannot have real pets for allergies or other reasons.
Another toy that promises to be a big hit for 2010 is the Pillow Pet. These adorable furry and plush pillows are actually in the shape of an animal so your child can lay their head to rest on the pillow portion and feel the comfort of having a furry friend along right next to them to keep them warm and safe through night.
Furry pet toys make great gifts all year around for birthdays, special occasions and so much more. Think back to when you were a child and what your favorite furry pet toy was and then look at the options they have today for you to give your child.
No child should be deprived of having a favorite furry pet toy; it’s almost like a rite of passage for every little kid going growing up. They get their furry friend and become attached to it and go through life with it until some time in their teens, they realize that while the favorite pet toy is still cherished, it’s just not as important any more. That’s when you know your kids are growing up and as tough at that is on parents, it’s going to happen so spoil them now while you can and get them a favorite furry friend to hold onto at night.
